Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)The Government sets a framework for us to work within at Roots to Wings. This is called the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This framework begins from birth, moving through the Preschool years and on into the Reception year at school, finishing at the end of the first year of school when the children move onto the National Curriculum.
We will be observing and assessing your child’s progress on a regular basis, culminating in a small report twice a year. We will use our observations to plan activities for your child, encouraging them to extend their understanding. Ofsted reportOur last Ofsted inspection was carried out in February 2020. We were delighted to have received an overall rating of Good.
